The Canadian Bandurist Capella is a male bandurist chorus, founded in 2001 in Toronto, that combines the sounds of choral singing accompanied by instrumentalists playing the contemporary bandura. Our mission is to explore the full potential and versatility of the modern bandura within a male choral ensemble, to bring together individuals who are committed to advancing choral bandura music while respecting its rich history, and to promote and popularize the bandura within the Ukrainian community and beyond.
Kozaks Forever was inspired by the “Kozak Spirit” (Козацький Дух) that lives in Ukrainians across the globe and drives all of to fight for Ukraine’s glory, prosperity, and freedom from tyranny.
This CD is the Capella’s third studio recording.
Guest Soloists include: “Merited Artist of Ukraine” Myroslava Solovianenko (Soprano), Viera Zmiyiwsky (Mezzo-soprano), Serhiy Danko (Baritone), Oleh Zmiyiwsky (Bass) as well as guest ensembles “Dibrova” Women’s Choir (UYA) and “Levada” Women’s Choir (UYE).
