Canadian Bandurist Capella presents a musical tribute in honour of a beloved friend, teacher, and exceptional musician – Yurij Petlura (1986-2015).

Yurij was the concermaster of the Canadian Bandurist Capella from the group’s establishment in 2001, and most recently held the position of Assistant Conductor of both the Canadian Bandurist Capella and the Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus. For numerous years Yurij taught bandura to students from across North America as well as taking the role of Musical Director at Kobzarska Sich and ODUM Bandura camps. Yurij’s contribution to Ukrainian culture and music in North America will always be cherished and never forgotten.
